New details have emerged in the Malviya Nagar fire incident in Delhi, where police are investigating the circumstances that led to the tragic blaze. According to information revealed during interrogation, the chef of the restaurant, identified as Rakesh Negi, claimed that an explosion occurred in an electric stove, which was followed by a short circuit. He stated that in panic, he switched off the main electricity supply, which allegedly caused the electronic door locking system to malfunction, trapping people inside the building. The chef was detained after nearly six hours of questioning and has been sent to police custody for further investigation. Authorities are also examining whether additional exits were locked, which may have prevented occupants from escaping. Police suspect that multiple safety failures, including electrical issues and restricted exit access, contributed to the severity of the incident. The investigation is ongoing to determine accountability and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
