Under the final formula announced by the AIADMK, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been allotted 27 constituencies, the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) 18, the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) 11, the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) 5, the Indhiya Jananayaka Katchi (IJK) 2, the Tamilaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) 1, and Puratchi Bharatham 1. The party said the completion of these agreements marks the formal consolidation of the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu ahead of the April 23 election.

Alliance arithmetic sharpens AIADMK’s anti-DMK strategy
