Mikayla Matthews takes a stand for estranged husband, Jace Terry

Mikayla Matthews says she ‘hates this’, takes a stand for estranged husband Jace Terry after online backlash

Reality star Mikayla Matthews defended her estranged husband, Jace Terry, against online criticism following their separation announcement. Matthews expressed her displeasure with negative comments, particularly those stemming from a podcast episode where Jace was labeled ‘weenie of the week.’ The couple had mutually agreed to separate, citing pressures from ‘MomTok drama’ and personal struggles.

A week after the ‘Mormon Wives’ star Mikayla Matthews and Jace Terry announced their split, the reality TV star is finally breaking her silence. The two announced that they were parting ways a week ago, after which Terry has been hit with a lot of online criticism. In one of her latest appearances, Matthews slammed online netizens over the comments and called them out about the comments over her relationship with her estranged partner.

Mikayla Matthews speaks out 1 week after split with Jace Terry

The issues started after ‘The Toast’ podcast hosts Jackie Oshry and Claudia Oshry called out Jace Terry in one of their latest episodes. Posting it to social media, they called him the “weenie of the week”, which resulted in Matthews sharing her opinions about the matter online. In the comment section under the post, she wrote, “I hate this.” The couple had announced that the split was mutual and that it was supposed to happen. They announced it on the 9th episode of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ season 4, sharing, “Jace and I stayed up all night talking about the pros and the cons of separating. Between all of the MomTok drama and the pressure that I feel to get my marriage in a good place, I’m definitely reaching a breaking point. We both agreed to do a separation.”

What did Jackie Oshry and Claudia Oshry say about Jace Terry?

In their latest podcast episode, the two hosts picked Terry as the “weenie of the week” and then continued to badmouth him, citing that Jackie hated him, and that he does not get enough hate online. Claudia continued talking about the same and shared, “Actually, people don’t even know the extent that you really hate him. She sends me these crazy voice memos when she’s watching the show being like, ‘You ugly little rat. Why are you the f*** away from your wife who just had a baby?’ I f****** hate him.”
