'Being Pehelwan is tough', Ram Charan talks about transforming into an athlete for ‘Peddi’ with vegetarian diet

One of the major highlights of the upcoming Ram Charan starrer sports action drama movie, ‘Peddi’ has been the actor’s athletic and muscular physique. As the actor and team are currently promoting the movie ahead of release, Charan revealed if he felt anything difficult while working on the film.

According to a report by Moneycontrol, during the event, Ram Charan shared that he didn’t feel anything tough as he was working on it with all love and passion. He said, “Nothing was tough especially when something is made with so much love and passion, you want to do it again and again so it’s not tough.” However, when he was asked specifically about playing the role of a wrestler, Ram Charan admitted that it was challenging for him. The actor said that becoming a pehelwan for the film was definitely tough and needed a lot of hard work and dedication.

At the event, it was also revealed that Ram Charan’s physical transformation in ‘Peddi’ was achieved mostly through a vegetarian diet and traditional wrestler-style training. From playing a cricket player to turning into a powerful wrestler, the actor reportedly followed a strict routine to prepare for the role.

About ‘Peddi’

Speaking about ‘Peddi’, the film is a village based drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana where Ram Charan is seen as a “crossover athlete” who inspires and fights for the oppressed through sports and spirit.He is seen in multiple avatars playing cricket, wrestling and spiriting. It also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Boman Irani among others.The film will be released on June 4 with premiere shows planned for June 3.
