In a tragic incident in Bihar, two Class 10 students were killed and one sustained injuries after their bike collided with a stationary bus while they were making reels.

According to a report in NDTV, the accident took place on National Highway 80 near Bariyarpur Sultanganj in Munger district, roughly 170 km from state capital Patna.

The deceased have been identified as Shubham and Anand Kumar. The third student, Sonu Kumar, is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, the report mentioned.

NDTV citing sources reported that the three friends were heading towards Sultanganj on a bike while recording videos on the highway. During the shoot, the rider reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into a stationary bus.

Authorities suspect that the use of a mobile phone while riding led to the loss of control over vehicle.

The report further stated that Munger Superintendent of Police Imran Masood expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing the need for greater road safety awareness among youth.

The SP said that despite ongoing efforts to raise awareness about road safety, many—especially the youth—continue to ignore these warnings and end up becoming victims of serious accidents. He appealed to the people of Munger to strictly follow traffic rules: always wear helmets, avoid speeding, do not carry more than the permitted number of passengers on two-wheelers, and never use mobile phones while driving or riding.
