'Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man': Release date, plot, cast, OTT platform revealed

Cillian Murphy reprises his iconic role as Tommy Shelby in the upcoming film ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’, hitting screens on March 2, 2026. This gripping tale unfolds during WWII, as a seasoned Tommy is pulled back into the shadows when his ambitious son steps into his shoes.

After premiering at Symphony Hall in Birmingham on March 2, 2026, and releasing in theaters on March 6, ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on March 20, 2026. The crime drama brings Cillian Murphy back into the world created by Steven Knight and continues the story after the hit British series. The film is set in the 1940s during World War II and follows Tommy Shelby at a much later stage of life, as he is pulled back into danger after trying to leave his violent past behind.

The film is based on the universe created by Steven Knight and continues the narrative threads established in the television series. It had its grand premiere at Symphony Hall in Birmingham on March 2, 2026, before arriving in cinemas on March 6.

‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ cast and story

Set in the 1940s during World War II, the new film follows an older and more withdrawn Tommy Shelby, who has distanced himself from his former empire and now lives in isolation, seemingly ready to leave behind the bloodshed that once defined his life. That changes when his illegitimate son, Duke, takes control of the Shelby family business. As fascist movements rise and old wounds resurface, Tommy is pulled back into a world he tried to leave behind. He is soon forced to confront both the growing external threat and the lingering shadows of his past, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown and a final reckoning with the choices that defined his life. Several returning cast members connect the movie to the original series. Sophie Rundle returns as Ada Thorne, while Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy reprise their roles as Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong.The film also adds new faces. Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo join the cast, bringing fresh energy to ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ as it heads to Netflix for its global streaming debut.
