Netanyahu Rumors: Israel PMO Denies Netanyahu Death Rumors as IRGC Issues Threat Amid Ongoing War

On the 16th day of the war, intense fighting continues between Israel and Iran, while a new controversy has emerged on social media regarding the status of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Over the past two days, rumors spread rapidly online claiming that Netanyahu had died or was no longer alive. However, the Prime Minister’s Office of Israel (PMO) has firmly denied these reports, calling them completely false and misleading. The PMO stated that Netanyahu is safe and in good health and urged citizens not to believe rumors circulating on social media. The controversy reportedly began after a video clip from Netanyahu’s recent speech went viral online. In one frame of the video, social media users claimed that Netanyahu appeared to have six fingers on his right hand, which many described as a typical AI “finger glitch.” This led to speculation that the video might be a deepfake generated using artificial intelligence, sparking conspiracy theories that the Israeli leader might no longer be alive. Following the viral claims, the Israeli PMO clarified that the rumors about Netanyahu’s death or health condition are completely fake and part of misinformation circulating online. Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran issued a strong statement, saying that if Netanyahu is indeed alive, they will continue to pursue him until revenge is achieved. The IRGC accused Netanyahu of being responsible for the deaths of Iranian children and warned that they would not stop until they settle the score. Netanyahu was last seen publicly in a video address on March 13, during which he spoke about the ongoing conflict. Analysts say such rumors and threats are part of an information and psychological warfare campaign, aimed at spreading confusion, weakening morale, and influencing public perception during wartime.
