‘Drishyam 3’: Mohanlal’s film teaser to release soon

‘Drishyam 3’ teaser: Mohanlal returns as Georgekutty; 1 Min 44 seconds teaser censored – Reports

Excitement for Drishyam 3 is soaring as reports indicate the teaser has completed censorship, boasting a 1 minute 44 second runtime. Mohanlal’s return as Georgekutty promises a gripping conclusion to the beloved franchise, with the film slated for an April 2, 2026 release, aiming for a definitive end to the family’s saga.

The excitement around ‘Drishyam 3’ continues to grow as new reports about the teaser have surfaced online. The film marks the much-awaited reunion of Mohanlal and filmmaker Jeethu Joseph and recent reports suggest that the makers are preparing to unveil the teaser very soon.Ever since the project was announced, audiences have been eager to see how the story of Georgekutty will conclude and now, the latest teaser update has soared the curiousity surrounding the project even more.

Teaser reportedly censored

According to updates shared by the Simply Mollywood Instagram handle, the teaser of ‘Drishyam 3’ has already completed the censor process. The teaser reportedly has a runtime of 1 minute and 44 seconds and a censor certificate for the teaser has started circulating on social media platforms. While an official announcement from the makers is still awaited, the development has already created a buzz online.

Georgekutty’s return raises curiosity

The film will once again see Mohanlal stepping into the iconic role of Georgekutty. The earlier installments in the franchise received praises for their gripping storytelling and suspense-driven narrative. What made ‘Drishyam’ different from other thriller films was mainly due to it’s story line and characters that feel raw and also due to it’s unexpected climax. While everyone had mixed opinions about the movie getting extended to a sequel, Jeethu Joseph literally blew everyone’s mind with his magnificent script and direction for ‘Drishyam 2’ which actually demanded a theatrical release. Speaking earlier in February during an interview with Silly Monks, director Jeethu Joseph opened up about a possibility of ‘Drishyam 4, “Even in my dreams, I haven’t thought about it. I am trying to end this because even people are asking me to stop it. This is why I am thinking in such a way.”

Director focuses on storytelling

In another conversation with Ranjini Haridas, Jeethu Joseph opened up about the kind of films he prefers to make.Explaining his filmmaking philosophy, he said, “I am not into crore clubs and all. I always wanted to do small films. There are some people who want to do a bigger film than the last one. I am not like that.”He continued, “When I hear a story, it is about whether I liked the story – it is not about big or small. That’s why I did Valathu Vashathe Kallan. It also has a good message about parenting.”’Drishyam 3′ is scheduled to release in theatres on April 2, 2026, and it seems that this time there will be a proper conclusion for Georgekutty and his family’s storyline without being extended to a next part.
