Hyundai VenueHyundai Motor India on Tuesday said the all-new Hyundai Venue has crossed one lakh bookings, marking a milestone for the compact SUV as demand remains strong in the segment.
The company said that it has also introduced a new HX8 diesel automatic (AT) variant, which is aimed at customers seeking higher convenience and performance.
According to the official statement, the new variant is powered by Hyundai’s U2 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, offering what the company described as a combination of diesel efficiency and torque-rich performance.
The HX8 Diesel AT variant also adds a range of comfort and technology features, including front-row ventilated seats, dual-tone leatherette upholstery with Venue branding, a four-way electrically adjustable driver seat, rear disc brakes and ambient lighting on the crash pad and centre console.
Technology features include controller over-the-air (OTA) vehicle updates and Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car platform, along with an electric parking brake with auto hold.
The variant also comes with drive mode selection – Eco, Normal and Sport – and traction control modes for sand, mud and snow, along with paddle shifters.
Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, said that the milestone reflects strong customer demand for feature-rich and connected vehicles in the compact SUV segment.
He added that the introduction of the HX8 diesel automatic variant strengthens the Venue lineup by offering customers a combination of diesel performance and automatic convenience.
