In a dispute between a husband and wife in Rampur district, the woman, who has eloped with her lover ten times, put forward a startling proposal. She demanded that she be allowed to spend 15 days of every month with her husband and the remaining 15 days with her lover.
According to eyewitnesses, the proposal left the Panchayat stunned into silence. The husband, visibly shaken, folded his hands before the gathering and pleaded, “You leave me alone.”
