Shubhanshu Shukla’s Wife Dances With Students At Lucknow School

IAF Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who became the first Indian to visit the International Space Station (ISS) as part of an Axiom4 mission, received a rousing welcome in his hometown Lucknow. He, along with his wife Kamna Shukla, visited his alma mater City Montessori School (CMS) today.

The school organised several cultural events and programs to welcome the astronaut at their Aliganj campus. Shubhanshu Shukla’s wife Kamna also participated in the celebrations and shook a leg with the students and teachers at the school.

CMS highlighted their ongoing program, OneTara, for underprivileged students and named Shubhanshu Shukla as the brand ambassador. Furthermore, Shukla also ensured to visit the campus again for a podcast.

During the visit, Shukla expressed joy and said he is glad to be back in the classrooms where he studied. “It feels like coming home,” Group Captain told reporters.

He also interacted with the teachers and students at the campus. The students explained their science projects to him and he offered explanations to them on how they can improvise and solve national issues.

Shubhanshu Shukla arrived in India from the US on August 17 and he is visiting his hometown Lucknow after participating in multiple outreach events, including a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shukla also met Yogi Adityanath at the UP chief minister’s residence.

He visited CMS’ Gomtinagar branch yesterday and delivered a speech at the campus. He urged the students to aspire and said, In his speech, Group Captain said, “We have a vision and a mission to land on the moon by 2040…”. “… I was very tired this morning. Then I saw you kids on the roads and I was told you were standing there since 7.30 am. I saw you sweating, smiling, and so excited that my tiredness vanished…” Shukla added.
