The 2026 BRIT Awards added a couple of new pages to the history books with Olivia Dean emerging as the evening’s biggest star. The singer kept up with ther Grammy-winning streak and walked away with four major trophies, marking her first-ever BRIT wins. She won Album of the Year award for ‘The Art of Lovin’, Artist of the Year and Pop Act. She also shared Song of the Year with Sam Fender for their collaboration ‘Rein Me In’. Despite her dominant showing, the single-night BRITs record remains with RAYE, who won six awards in 2024.The ladies brought their A-game with RosalĂa becoming the first Spanish-language artist to win International Artist of the Year, beating nominees including Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga.Meanwhile, BLACKPINK member Rose also made history as the first K-pop artist to win a BRIT Award, taking International Song of the Year alongside Bruno Mars for their hit ‘APT’. The K-pop wave continued with ‘Golden’ winning the breakout track from the animated project ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’. Dave, on the other hand, became the first artist to win the Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act award twice, reinforcing his standing in the UK music scene.
