‘Dhurandhar 2’ CONFIRMS March 19 clash with ‘Toxic’

'Dhurandhar 2' confirmed for March 19 clash with ‘Toxic’: Ranveer Singh starrer release date, runtime revealed as pre-bookings open

The release date of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and ‘Toxic’ is just 19 days away and the makers of both films have done little to confirm or deny the rumours floating around on the internet. Amid growing buzz that ‘Dhurandhar 2’, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, will bite the bullet and bow out of a clash, fans of the film got an unlikely confirmation as pre-bookings opened. On Saturday, fans of the Aditya Dhar directorial were over the moon when pre-bookings for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ in international markets like Australia and France, confirmed March 19 as the film’s release.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ set for March 19 release

An Australian theatre chain’s website not only revealed that the film would start screening with shows on March 19, but also confirmed a runtime of a total of 220 minutes. With this, the film will be a tad longer than the first part which also exceeded the 3 hour runtime. The French distribution company Friday Entertainment, also posted about ‘Dhurandhar 2’, confirming that it is very much on track for its scheduled release and will not be postponed, contrary to the viral rumours and speculation.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ to clash with ‘Toxic’

The March 19 face-off with ‘Toxic’, starring Yash in the lead, is expected to split screens and audiences, potentially impacting opening day numbers for both films. Trade gurus have been vocal about opting out of a clash, citing that both movies are ‘event’ films and would greatly benefit from undivided screens and time at the box office. However, theatre chains gearing up to screen both films, are of the opinion that a clash could benefit the box office overall by driving footfalls. However, others are wary that the scales may tip in favour of one film over the other, once early reviews and audience feedback take over social media.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ eyes Rs 1,000 crore mark

‘Dhurandhar 2’ already has the upper hand, considering that ‘Dhurandhar’ which released on 5 December 2025, went on to become the highest-earning film in Bollywood history and scored an impressive total exceeding Rs 1,300 crore at the box office.

Yami Gautam reviews ‘Dhurandhar 2’

Yami Gautam, actress and wife of director Dhar, added to the buzz around the film by giving her early review. Speaking at the News18 Rising Bharat Summit, The actress shared, “I have already watched Dhurandhar 2. It is beyond extraordinary. I was really emotional.”Revealing that she was unable to speak after watching the film, she assured fans, “Aditya loves his audience and the country and he has given his life’s effort to make this film. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ will be an experience that the audience will never forget.” Go to Source
