Rashmika or Vijay: Comparing the box-office influence of new couple

The Wedding of VIROSH’: How fans named Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s big day

After years of speculation and quiet whispers, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are finally ready to tie the knot on February 26 in their long-awaited VIROSH wedding. The two have grown into some of the most celebrated and commercially reliable stars in Indian cinema today, each boasting an impressive list of hits and a fiercely loyal fan base. Their chemistry has already lit up screens in ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Dear Comrade’, and their bond beyond films has kept fans excited for years. Yet, when it comes to comparing their financial influence from box-office appeal to personal fortunes, the story holds a few interesting contrasts.

Rashmika Mandanna’s unstoppable rise in Indian cinema

Since her debut in ‘Kirik Party’ (2016), Rashmika has charted an extraordinary journey, evolving into one of Indian cinema’s most sought-after and bankable stars. Effortlessly bridging industries, she has made a mark in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi films. Her recent success streak includes the blockbuster ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ opposite Allu Arjun, which stormed the global box office with reported earnings Rs 1,742 crore, as per Sacnilk. The franchise’s first installment, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, too proved its dominance with collections in the Rs 267.55 crore range. Venturing into Bollywood, Rashmika continued her winning run with ‘Animal’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, raking in around Rs 915 crore worldwide, as per Sacnilk.

Vijay Deverakonda’s journey from ‘Arjun Reddy’ to attaining pan-India fame

Vijay has built his career with a mix of strong performances and successful movies, mainly in Telugu cinema. According to Box Office Andhra, the 2018 hit ‘Geetha Govindam’ remains one of his biggest successes, earning around Rs 125–130 crore worldwide. In 2025, his film ‘Kingdom’ made about Rs 50–82 crore, becoming his third biggest hit, according to Sacnilk. His first pan-India movie ‘Liger’ (2022) earned around Rs 60 crore globally but didn’t do as well as expected, according to Sacnilk. Earlier, ‘Arjun Reddy’ (2017) collected nearly Rs 50 crore, according to Sacnilk and became a cult favorite, helping Vijay become one of the most popular stars in Telugu films.

Rashmika Mandanna continues to dominate the box office

When it comes to total box-office earnings, Mandanna holds a clear edge because of her involvement in major franchises like ‘Pushpa’. Her films, including the ‘Pushpa’ series and ‘Animal’, have together grossed thousands of crores worldwide, placing her among the most commercially successful female stars in India today.

Vijay Deverakonda’s impactful films but limited blockbusters

On the other hand, Vijay’s career includes powerful and influential films such as ‘Arjun Reddy’. However, his movies haven’t yet touched the massive commercial level of consistent Rs 500 crore or Rs 1,000 crore blockbusters. His biggest box-office success so far continues to be ‘Geetha Govindam’.

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s net worth compared

According to Deccan Chronicle, Rashmika Mandanna’s estimated net worth is around Rs 66 crore, supported by her film earnings, brand endorsements, and business investments. Vijay’s wealth, on the other hand, is estimated to be between Rs 50–70 crore, with reports by Lifestyle Asia and Deccan Chronicle suggesting it could be slightly higher. Go to Source
