Saudi Arabia opens domestic Hajj 2026 registration: Eligibility, dates and steps you need to know

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially opened registration for citizens and residents inside the Kingdom who want to perform Hajj 1447 AH (2026). Registration began on 6 Ramadan 1447 AH through the Nusuk Hajj platform, accessible via both the official website and the Nusuk mobile app developed for pilgrims’ convenience. The ministry also announced that Hajj package bookings will start on 15 Ramadan, giving applicants time to register first and then select from the available service packages.

Hajj registration now open in Saudi Arabia

In this initial phase, priority is given to those who have never performed Hajj before. Registration will continue through the end of Shawwal, and if seats remain available after this period, other eligible applicants may have a chance to book packages as well.To qualify for registration, applicants must meet several conditions:

  • Be at least 15 years old (in Gregorian years).
  • Meet all health requirements approved by the ministry.
  • For residents, have a valid residency permit, prioritizing those whose residency has been valid for more than one year.

This ensures that registered pilgrims are eligible and medically fit to undertake the physically demanding pilgrimage.

How to register and choose Hajj packages?

Pilgrims must register themselves, group or third-party registration is not permitted. The process involves:

  • Creating an account on the Nusuk platform or app.
  • Completing personal information and eligibility checks.
  • Selecting preferred Hajj package(s) listed by licensed companies.
  • Paying fees through the secure Sadaad payment system to issue the official Hajj permit.

All contracts and bookings must be made exclusively through licensed companies shown on the platform, ensuring quality services and legitimate arrangements under Saudi supervision. The ministry encouraged pilgrims to register early and to reach out for assistance via the Nusuk platform or the ministry’s help number 1966 if needed.

Looking ahead

Opening early registration for domestic pilgrims reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to improve the Hajj planning and booking experience, particularly by giving first-time pilgrims priority and making the entire process more user-friendly.The use of digital platforms like Nusuk helps centralize applications, reduce errors, and streamline communications between pilgrims and service providers. This move aligns with broader digital transformation goals in the country’s religious tourism sector. The timing of this registration also connects with international preparations, including visa issuance for international pilgrims, which began earlier in February as part of coordinated global systems for Hajj 2026 operations.
