Patna Crime: Two Brothers Shot Dead at Son’s Reception Party in Shahpur, Patna; Investigation Underway

A shocking double murder took place on Sunday night in Shahpur, under the Gopalpur Police Station jurisdiction, when assailants opened fire at a house during a reception party. The victims, two brothers identified as Manjeet and Manish, were killed instantly, leaving the local community in shock and fear. Patna East City SP Parichay Kumar confirmed that the two brothers were shot dead and said that the investigation is currently underway. Authorities have recovered three spent cartridges from the scene. According to police sources, the perpetrators have been identified, and further action to apprehend them is in progress. The motive behind the attack is yet to be fully ascertained. Investigators are examining the sequence of events at the reception party, while maintaining a strong security presence in Shahpur to prevent any escalation. The incident has triggered outrage and concern among local residents and authorities, emphasizing the need for swift justice.
