Celebrity couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were recently spotted at Mumbai airport and the Gateway of India, returning from an Alibaug getaway. Fans expressed their delight online. While Virat has returned to cricket, Anushka’s much-anticipated film ‘Chakda Xpress’ faces further delays due to personal reasons and her commitment to motherhood.

The most loved celebrity couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted at the Mumbai airport on Saturday (February 22) and this happened right after they were spotted recently at Mumbai’s Gateway of India ferry terminal on the last day.The duo paused briefly to greet the paparazzi waiting outside the terminal. Both smiled, posed patiently for cameras and then made their way inside.

As seen in the snap shared by ANI, Virat embraced a travel-friendly look as he opted for a white T-shirt layered with a muted blue overshirt and paired it with dark trousers. Anushka wore a dark jacket with colourful motifs, teamed with loose black trousers. She kept her makeup minimal and her hair open and presented a fuss-free yet chic appearance perfect for an early morning flight.

Seen days after Alibaug getaway

Earlier this week the couple was also seen at Mumbai’s Gateway of India ferry terminal as they returned from a short getaway to Alibaug.In the clips that circulated on social media, Virat wore a brown T-shirt, black pants and sunglasses while Anushka was seen in a crisp white top and jeans. Fans reacted affectionately as one wrote, “My Favrt jodi is back.” Another called Virat, “King kohli.” Another user added, “Aura hai king.” On the professional front Virat recently returned from a three-match ODI series against New Zealand and emerged as India’s top run-scorer despite the team losing the series under Shubman Gill’s captaincy.

Anushka Sharma’s return to screens still awaited

Anushka has been away from films for several years. The actor was last seen in the 2018 film ‘Zero’ starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Even though the fans were excited to see the ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ actors on screen again, ‘Zero’ mostly received mixed reviews from the audiences.Her anticipated cricket drama ‘Chakda Xpress’ which is based on the life of former India women’s cricket captain Jhulan Goswami is yet to secure a release date.Talking about ‘Chakda Xpress’ delay, in a 2022 Bazaar India interview Anushka Sharma said, “I was supposed to have worked on it earlier but the film got postponed because of the pandemic and then I got pregnant.” She added, “When I finally began working on it I was really nervous because I had just had a baby so I wasn’t as strong as before.”Anushka Sharma mentioned she had not trained for 18 months and wasn’t in the best physical condition. Yet, she said, “An inner voice kept telling me to do it. And that’s the kind of work I want to be a part of.”
