Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor had once again proven her flair for making traditional silhouettes look effortlessly modern. During the Delhi promotions of her upcoming film Param Sundari, the young star stepped out in a bespoke linen lehenga that instantly turned heads.

Taking to her Instagram, Janhvi Kapoor shared pictures from Delhi as she promoted Param Sundari in the national capital with her co-star Sidharth Malhotra. The actor donned a linen lehenga by Anavila for her OOTD.

Take a look at Janhvi’s OOTD here.

Janhvi’s outfit, though rooted in classic Indian design, carried a distinctive narrative. The lehenga skirt and dupatta featured a custom-made pattern depicting elephants walking through a lush forest near the backwaters of southern India. This imagery added not just an artisanal charm but also tied directly into the character she was portraying in Param Sundari, infusing her promotional look with storytelling depth.

The pale aqua hue of the linen ensemble softened her appearance, while the fluid fabric gave a sense of ease and comfort, proving that couture did not have to come at the cost of wearability. The embroidery and motifs stood out with quiet sophistication rather than loud embellishment, a choice that reflected both restraint and refinement.

Janhvi paired the lehenga with a delicate embroidered blouse that balanced modern cuts with traditional detailing. Her accessories: a choker, waist belt, and bracelets, were steeped in gold, lending just the right amount of opulence without overpowering the lightness of the linen base. The kamarbandh, in particular, accentuated her silhouette, tying the look together with a regal finish.

Her glam was kept classic: softly defined eyes, peachy tones on the lips, and hair styled in loose waves cascading around her shoulders. A small bindi sat gracefully at the centre of her forehead, grounding the look in timeless tradition.

What stood out most was the synergy between the ensemble and the film’s cultural narrative. The elephant-and-forest motifs on her lehenga connected back to the landscapes of southern India, where her character’s story unfolds. By wearing this design during promotions, Janhvi blurred the lines between reel and real, stepping into her film’s world while dazzling her audience in Delhi.
