‘Why Did You Leave, World Calling Me Killer’: Man’s Post For Wife After ‘Murder’ Surfaces

A Greater Noida man allegedly set his wife on fire over dowry. He was arrested on Saturday, however, hours before his arrest, he posted about her death on Instagram.

A man in Greater Noida allegedly set his wife on fire for dowry, causing her death, and prompting the police to arrest him in a murder case on Saturday.

The incident took place on Thursday, when the husband, identified as Vipin Bhati, was seen brutally assaulting his wife, Nikki, in the videos that surfaced online.

However, hours before being arrested on Saturday, the man implied in a social media post that she died by suicide and went on to say that the world was calling him a killer, NDTV reported.

“Why didn’t you tell me what had happened? Why did you leave me? Why did you do this? The world is calling me a killer, Nikki,” Vipin wrote on Instagram at around 1 am on Saturday. His social media bio says that he is an advocate.

“Mere saath bahut galat ho raha hai tere jaane ke baad’ (I am being wronged since you left),” he added.

In another post in the Instagram story, the couple was seen smiling in a video, and their son was sitting with them.

“I am devastated (‘main barbaad ho gaya’). I am left with nothing,” the caption of the video said, NDTV reported.

Nikki Murder Case

Nikki, the 28-year-old victim in the case, died of burn injuries while being trasferred from Fortis Hospital, Noida, to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on Thursday.

She was allegedly assaulted by her husband and another woman at their residence in Greater Noida’s Sirsa.

Videos showed Vipin dragging her by her hair, while other videos showed her on fire and limping down stairs. She was seen sitting on the floor with burn injuries.
