This time around, actress Mallika Prasad takes on the role of the main antagonist as Amma, as she goes against Shivani Roy in order to keep her illegal operations safe. Read on to know more about the film and what happened at the end, and did Shivani Roy save all of the children that had gone missing?

Plot of ‘Mardaani 3’

The film begins with Shivani Roy coming across a high-priority case after Ambassador Sahu’s daughter is kidnapped along with another underprivileged girl. As she slowly tries to find the children, the senior Superintendent inspector ends up coming across something even more sinister and illegal. Her investigation leads her to find out that, other than Ruhani and Jhimli, more than 90 girls have gone missing in the past few months. She starts to uncover a web and discovers that there is a child trafficking ring operating in Mumbai. She is assisted by Fatima, a young and ambitious constable, who is played by actress Janki Bodiwala, and Ramanujan, a common man working towards justice, played by Prajesh Kashyap. Fatima also helps Shivaani Roy by becoming an eyewitness, as she was one of the few people who saw some hooligans taking Ruhani and Jhimli with them.

Shivani Roy uncovers Amma’s connection to the cases

As the case proceeds forward, Shivani Roy uncovers that a woman named Amma is heavily involved in the child trafficking and the beggar mafia ring in Mumbai. She confronts her, but does not have enough proof to pin it down that Amma is behind the disappearance of all of the girls in the past few months. Later, Amma’s men target Ramanujan and Shivani’s husband in order to make the cop back away from her investigation, but she continues with her work. She attempts to save the girls from a shady motel as she faces off with gunmen, but is unable to.

Shivani Roy gets suspended from the police force

As Shivani and Fatima continue with the investigation, Ramanujan recovers from the goons’ beatings. Slowly, the two end up uncovering that Amma and Ramanujan are leading the whole illegal operation underground. She gets both of them arrested, though the key witness in the case dies under mysterious circumstances, which is ruled out as suicide. Ramanujan is let go by the police while Shivani gets suspended from the police force haunted further notice.

‘Mardaani 3’ ending explained

Nearing the ending Shivani Roy uncovers that the trafficking ring is an undercover op for cancer treatment trials. All those children who test positive are killed, while all those who test negative after trials are kept for further testing. She faces off with Amma, who, in an encounter, is killed. Ramanujan, however, meets a completely different fate, as after ensuring that all of the girls are safe in the facility, Shivani Roy takes the same cancer treatment injection and injects him with it. While Ramanujan stays alive, he is left in a vegetative and paralyzed state because of the injection. The film ends with Shivani Roy’s suspension being revoked as she is considered for the Presidential medal for solving the case and bringing down the medical racket. Go to Source
