‘Parasakthi’ BO day 21: SK film losing steam

'Parasakthi' box office collections day 21: Sivakarthikeyan film losing steam; Mints only Rs 3 lakhs

Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Parasakthi’ is experiencing a slow box office run, collecting minimal amounts in its third week. Despite a decent opening, interest has waned, though the film has achieved a Rs 84.65 crore worldwide collection.

Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara’s film ‘Parasakthi’ is now moving very slowly at the box office.On day 21 the movie collected only Rs 3 lakhs which shows that most of the audience has already watched it or lost interest. The film had a decent opening phase but the numbers kept going down as days passed.

Overall box office performance

Even with low late-week numbers the movie has managed to collect a good total over time. The worldwide collection stands at Rs 84.65 crore as reported by the Sacnilk website. The India net is Rs 52.23 crore. The India gross is Rs 61.8 crore and overseas numbers are Rs 22.85 crore.The Tamil version alone has earned Rs 52.23 crore so far. On day 21 it made Rs 3 lakhs. On day 20 SK’s film made Rs 5 lakhs. On day 19 it made Rs 2 lakhs and on day 18 it made Rs 3 lakhs.

Film with a strong team

‘Parasakthi’ stars Sivakarthikeyan, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, and Atharvaa. Sudha Kongara directed the movie and because of this team many people had high expectations.

OTT release date announced

The makers have now locked the OTT release date. Parasakthi will start streaming on ZEE5 from February 6.The theatrical run will soon end but the OTT run will show whether ‘Parasakthi’ gets a fresh boost or not. Meanwhile, ETimes review for the movie read, “Parasakthi is nowhere near flawless. But it’s a powerful and ambitious attempt to capture a defining chapter in history.
