Disney Cruise Line to debut fireworks show narrated by Shah Rukh Khan

Disney Cruise Line will introduce an all-new fireworks show, The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky, narrated by actor Shah Rukh Khan. The production will premiere aboard the Disney Adventure, the company’s first ship to homeport in Asia, when it begins operations from Singapore in March 2026.

Khan, who voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language versions of The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024), lends his narration to the new experience, combining his signature voice with Disney’s storytelling tradition. The show will feature a blend of fireworks, music and lighting, designed to celebrate themes of courage, legacy and connection central to The Lion King.

Disney Cruise Line remains the only cruise line globally to present fireworks at sea, a hallmark of its guest experience. The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky will continue this legacy on select evenings during both three-night and four-night voyages aboard the Disney Adventure.

The ship’s deployment from Singapore marks Disney Cruise Line’s entry into the Asian market, extending its storytelling and entertainment offerings to a new regional audience. The fireworks show has been designed to engage guests of all ages through an immersive interpretation of one of Disney’s most recognisable narratives.

The collaboration also highlights Disney’s continued investment in regionally resonant experiences and partnerships that connect with audiences across diverse markets. By featuring one of India’s most prominent voices, the company builds on its strategy of localised storytelling within a global brand framework.
