‘Border 2’ beats Jaat to become Sunny Deol’s 2nd biggest hit

'Border 2' beats Jaat to become Sunny Deol's 2nd biggest hit

Sunny Deol’s “Border 2” is making waves, raking in ₹121 crore in just three days, making it his second-highest grosser ever. This rapid ascent surpasses “Jaat’s” lifetime earnings, highlighting immense audience interest. Following the monumental success of “Gadar 2,” Deol is experiencing a remarkable career resurgence with multiple hits and a promising slate of upcoming projects.

Sunny Deol’s Border 2 is rewriting his personal box-office rankings at record pace. With the film collecting Rs 121 crore within just three days of release, it has already become the second-highest-grossing film of Deol’s career, surpassing the lifetime total of his action drama Jaat, which wrapped up with Rs 88.72 crore domestically. What makes this elevation particularly notable is the speed at which Border 2 climbed the charts. Typically, lifetime standings shift over the course of weeks ,through sustained daily holds.. In contrast, Border 2 needed only 72 hours to leap past Jaat’s entire run, reinforcing the scale of audience interest and the strength of the film’s opening weekend trajectory.Jaat was Sunny Deol’s first big release post the mega success of Gadar 2 whihc minted more than Rs 500 crore at the box office. The success of Jaat has led the makers to make Jaat 2 now.

Border 2 Makes Ahan’s Childhood Army Dream Real

At the top of Deol’s career leaderboard sits Gadar 2, the post-pandemic phenomenon that triggered a mass audience resurgence and concluded its theatrical run as one of the biggest Hindi grossers in history. While Border 2 still has considerable ground to cover if it intends to challenge that peak, its early numbers have already set it apart from the pack.Sunny Deol’s ressurgence post the success of Gadar 2 will go down as one of the biggest comebacks in Indian cinema- Sunny Deol who was struggling for hits post the success of Gadar has now delivered 3 back to back hits in three years. And has a long list of films lined up from Aamir Khan- Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947 to nitesh Tiwari- Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayan to Siddharth P Malhotra’s Gabru to Farhan Akhtar and Ritiesh Sidhwani’s Anthony and talks already underway with Anil Sharma on 2 projects one of them being Gadar 3 .
