The nominations list for the 2026 Oscars was announced today, and Neeraj Ghaywan’s ‘Homebound’, which was India’s official selection for the 98th Academy Awards, didn’t make it. The movie was backed by Karan Johar and featured Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor. Karan Johar took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Proud!!! Love you @neeraj.ghaywan for allowing us to bask in your light!” adding ‘Homebound’ in a hashtag.

Soon, director Neeraj Ghaywan reposted KJo’s Instagram Story and wrote, “Thank you, @karanjohar! You have been an absolute rock. Couldn’t have come this far without you. Love you.”
