Yuzvendra Chahal, RJ Mahvash unfollow each other on social media? Eagle eyed netizens think so! - See inside

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and radio jockey turned influencer RJ Mahvash are back in the limelight after eagle-eyed fans noticed that the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram. This comes months after the duo were rumoured to be dating each other, right after Chahal’s divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma. Chahal and Mahvash never confirmed their relationship, but she was always seen cheering for him at his matches when he played for the IPL 2025 and had also dropped a selfie with him, to show support. They maintained that they were good friends only, without commenting on their relationship, however, now they are in news again as eagle eyed netizens notice that they no longer follow each other on social media. The unfollowing was first pointed out by celebrity paparazzo Varinder Chawla, who shared the update on Instagram. Soon after, netizens began dissecting the situation. While some users claimed the unfollowing may have happened earlier, others suggested that a new wave of “Instagram drama” could be unfolding.

Chahal and Mahvash have remained under constant scrutiny since the cricketer’s widely discussed and emotionally taxing divorce. In the months that followed, the two were often seen together.Despite the buzz, both repeatedly maintained that they were not romantically involved. Addressing the speculation earlier in a conversation with Raj Shamani, Chahal had said, “It happened for the first time that I was seen with someone in public, so people started speculating. We can’t start crying, if people link us up, then so be it.”He also spoke about the toll the rumours took on Mahvash. “She was called a house-breaker, homewrecker, and all sorts of bad names. People kept asking why she was with Yuzi. I felt bad that a friend who helped me get through a tough phase was being dragged into this. Even when we were out with a group of friends, only our cropped photos were used. Eventually, we stopped going out because we feared another story would pop up,” he shared.RJ Mahvash, too, had earlier shut down the dating rumours through a strongly worded Instagram story. Calling the claims “baseless,” she wrote, “If you are seen with someone of the opposite gender, does that automatically mean you’re dating? I’m sorry, what year is this? And how many people are you all dating then?”She also criticised what she described as manufactured narratives, adding, “I’ve been patient for 2–3 days, but I won’t let any PR teams drag my name into this to protect someone else’s image. Let people live in peace with their friends and family during tough times.”
