In a shocking turn of events, actor Timothy Busfield is embroiled in serious allegations of child sexual abuse, prompting his withdrawal from numerous productions. Not only that, but his face is also going to be edited out of an upcoming film.

Timothy Busfield to be digitally cut from latest movie

Deadline recently reported that Timothy Busfield, who had already filmed all of his roles in ‘You Deserve Each Other’, will be removed from the film altogether. The news comes after his sexual abuse allegations against a minor and his being dropped by his label. The actor will be edited out of all of the scenes using digital technology. ‘You Deserve Each Other’ is an upcoming movie based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Hogle. Other than Busfield, Penn Badgley, and Meghann Fahy have been cast in the film to play the role of the lead couple. Some of the other names included in the film are Hope Davis, Justin Long, Kyle MacLachlan, and Ana Gasteyer.This is not the only project that Busfield has been dropped from. He was set to appear in one of the latest episodes of ‘Law & Order: SVU.’ However, after the allegations came to light and he made his first court appearence, the showrunners bumped the episode date until further notice.

According to an Entertainment Weekly report, Timothy Busfield had been accused of child sexual abuse only a few days prior. The report also stated that the actor is being charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse as of right now. After the allegations came to light, Busfield had self-surrendered to the authorities in New Mexico. The actor has been accused of having inappropriate connections with two twins that he worked alongside on ‘The Cleaning Lady.’ The mother of the two children has alleged that he was grooming her children between their time on the show in 2022 and 2024.
