‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’ is a box office hit, raking in ₹8.70 crore in its opening weekend. The film saw significant growth, especially on Saturday, with strong occupancy in Tamil Nadu. Positive word-of-mouth and audience appreciation for its simple story and performances, particularly Jiiva’s, are driving its success.

‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’ is doing very well at the box office. The film started with a decent opening and then showed good growth on the next days.On Day 1 the film collected around Rs 1.5 crore in India net. On Day 2 the collection jumped to Rs 2.7 crore. This was a big rise of almost 80 percent. By the end of the first two days, the total collection reached around Rs 4.20 crore.

Day 3 brings the big push

On Day 3, Saturday, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil saw its best performance so far. According to early estimates by the Sacnilk website the film earned around Rs 4.50 crore India net on its third day. This strong Saturday helped the total collection reach Rs 8.70 crore in just three days. The jump on Day 3 clearly shows that word of mouth is working well.

High occupancy shows audience love

The film also recorded very good occupancy in Tamil Nadu on Saturday. The overall Tamil occupancy stood at 70.29 percent which is a very healthy number. Morning shows had 50.87 percent occupancy. Afternoon shows went up to 74.50 percent. Evening shows saw 75.81 percent occupancy. Night shows performed the best with 79.97 percent occupancy.

Reviews praise Jiiva and simple story

Social media is full of positive reactions for Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil. One viewer wrote, “Simple line, neat screenplay and wonderful execution. Humor around two extreme emotional situation of life happening at once. Production design, costumes and framings were apt to the concept. Laughter performance by all lead artist and change to a peak emotional when required was well performed. Definitely well deserved festival watch with family. Jiiva as lead artist and also creative producer gives his best in every aspect. Nice to see the joyful Jiiva again on big screen!”Another review said, “Applause to Jiiva for choosing different different subjects, I think this movie will be a winner for this Pongal. This movie is not world class different movie. But Jiiva, Director and all support artists and technicians did justice for the simple plot they have taken. Good screenplay and comical moments. Good to see whole theatre enjoyed the movie.
