‘Dhurandhar’, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles, has picked up pace at the box office, after beginning its seventh week at the box office with its lowest collection to date.The film that has been on a record-breaking spree since its release on December 5, is already on its way to record one of the highest week 7 collections at the Indian box office.

As per a report on sacnilk, the film that saw its numbers decline in week 6, hit a new low as it began week 7 with a net collection of just around Rs 1.75 crore. However, on Saturday, early box office estimates indicate that the film nearly doubled its collections, earning an estimated Rs 3 crore. The film’s week 7 collections now stand at an estimated Rs 4.75 crore.

With its current two-day total of Rs 4.75 crore, the film now stands third on the list of highest week 7 collections, only behind ‘Chhaava’ which earned Rs 6.53 crore and ‘Stree 2’, which earned Rs 9.35 crore. Despite its low collections, ‘Dhurandhar’ has managed to score above the new release, ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’. The film has managed to sail past competition at the box office from films like ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, ‘Ikkis’ and ‘The Raja Saab’.

‘Dhurandhar’, now boasts of a total net collection of Rs 821.35 crore, further increasing its box office record as the highest-earning film to release in a single language. The film is now on its way to hit the Rs 1,000 crore gross mark at the Indian box office with the current total at an estimated Rs 985.4 crore. The film is now just a few crore shy of officially surpassing the lifetime collection of ‘KGF Chapter 2′, which currently ranks third at the box office with a gross total of Rs 1000.85 crore.’Baahubali 2’ occupies the second spot with a collection of Rs 1416.9 crore, and ‘Pushpa 2’ sits on the No 1 spot with a collection of Rs 1471.1 crore.
