Maruti Suzuki begins exports of Victoris SUV to global markets

Maruti Suzuki India on Friday commenced exports of its premium SUV Victoris, with more than 450 vehicles shipped from Mundra and Pipavav ports to multiple global markets. The model will be sold internationally under the name ‘Across’.

Victoris has secured 5-star safety ratings from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP, reinforcing its position as a globally competitive product. The India-made SUV was also showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 to international audiences.

“Maruti Suzuki’s export journey is guided by the vision of Make in India, Make for the World,” said Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India.

“In calendar year 2025, with exports of over 3.9 lakh vehicles, we emerged as India’s number one passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year,” he added.

Takeuchi noted that between CY2020 and CY2025, India’s overall passenger vehicle exports grew 1.43 times, while Maruti Suzuki’s exports expanded 4.67 times.

Launched in India in September 2025, Victoris features a wraparound design language, premium interiors and connected technologies targeted at young buyers. The model recently won the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026 award, underlining its strong domestic acceptance.

Maruti Suzuki exports vehicles to more than 100 countries across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, and the company expects Victoris to strengthen its presence in developed markets as well.
