A shocking case from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, has left an entire locality stunned after a househelp, employed at a businessman’s house for nearly a decade, was accused of committing a disturbing and unhygienic act inside the family kitchen. According to police, the woman, identified as Samantra, was allegedly caught urinating in a glass and sprinkling the same on utensils used by the family. A video of the incident, secretly recorded by a family member, went viral on social media this week and sparked widespread outrage.

The businessman told police that the maid had been working in his household for almost ten years and was considered trustworthy. However, suspicions arose recently after a family member noticed her unusual behaviour and decided to monitor her discreetly. The video evidence confirmed the act, leaving the family horrified.

Following the complaint, the Nagina police detained the woman and later booked her under sections related to disturbing public peace. She was produced in court and is now facing judicial proceedings.

The case has triggered heated debate in the area, with many locals describing the incident as “disgusting” and “unforgivable”. Some have speculated that the woman may be suffering from a mental health condition, while others believe her actions were deliberate and malicious.

What has amplified the shock is the long period of trust the family had placed in her. Residents say such behaviour, especially from someone employed for years in the same household, is both “shameful and deeply unsettling”.
