Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced that a prominent industrialist has come forward to donate 121 kilograms of gold to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. He explained that such large contributions would greatly support the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in carrying out its services in education, healthcare, and other welfare programs.

Sharing his thoughts on the social media platform ‘X’, Chandrababu expressed satisfaction over the positive response to the P4 program.

He emphasised that Indian culture upholds the principle of “Paropakaram Paramam Dharmaha” — service to others as the highest duty. True happiness, he said, comes not from merely accumulating wealth but from giving it back to society.

Recalling his earlier Janmabhoomi program, he said it was initiated with the vision of creating change for the betterment of all.

The Chief Minister further said, “A devotee of Lord Venkateswara, who had established a company and found great success, recently sold 60 per cent of his stake, earning nearly Rs 6,000–7,000 crore. With the belief that all his wealth was granted by the Lord himself, the devotee decided to donate 121 kilograms of gold as an offering of gratitude.”

While Chandrababu shared the details of the contribution, he did not disclose the identity of the devotee.

Record Laddu Prasadam Sale In Tirumala

Meanwhile, Tirumala also recorded historic laddu sales on July 12 this year and 4,86,134 laddus were sold in a single day — an increase of 35 per cent compared to 3.24 lakh laddus sold on the same day last year.

This one-day sale alone generated revenue of Ra 2.43 crore.

In July 2024, TTD had produced 1.04 crore laddus weighing 160–180 grams each, while this year production rose to 1.25 crore. Of these, 1.24 crore laddus were sold. To meet the rising demand during the heavy pilgrim rush, TTD also maintained a buffer stock of four lakh laddus.
