‘Action Hero Biju’ row: Nivin Pauly gets big relief

Nivin Pauly gets big relief: Kerala court takes action against producer in 'Action Hero Biju' row

A Vaikom court granted Nivin Pauly significant relief, ordering a criminal complaint against producer PS Shamnas for allegedly misleading the court to falsely implicate the actor and director. Meanwhile, Pauly’s film ‘Sarvam Maya’ is a box office hit, crossing Rs 69 crore in India net after 22 days.

Nivin Pauly got a big relief from a Kerala court. The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I at Vaikom ordered that a criminal complaint be filed against producer PS Shamnas. The court found that Shamnas had lied to the court. Judge Archana K Babu said Shamnas had hidden facts and made wrong claims under oath. The court felt this was done only to get a cheating case registered against Nivin Pauly and director Abrid Shine.

Court calls it fraud

Reports from Bar and Bench website say that the court clearly stated Shamnas misled the court. It found that he gave false evidence on purpose. The judge said, “The giving of false evidence amounts to practicing of fraud upon the court … it was manifest that the respondent (Shamnas) had intentionally made a false statement or declaration when he was under a legal obligation to speak the truth in a judicial proceedings.” The court also said that, at first look, Shamnas committed fraud just to get an FIR registered against Nivin Pauly. This order came on January 12 and brought a big legal relief to the actor.
