Big B’s GD Navya gives a glimpse into IIM Ahmedabad life

Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda shares glimpses of campus life at IIM Ahmedabad, calls it ‘happiest of times’

Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has shared a rare and personal peek into her life as a student at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Navya posted a series of candid pictures from her campus days, offering a glimpse of her life beyond the spotlight.

Candid campus moments

The photos capture Navya in relaxed, everyday moments with her classmates. In one image, she is seen sitting on a wall with a close friend against the backdrop of IIM Ahmedabad’s iconic architecture. Other pictures show her smiling, chatting and spending time with her peers across the campus. She also shared a snapshot of a simple meal at the institute and a moment where she appears to be addressing her classmates, who listen attentively.

Sharing the post, Navya wrote, “Happiest of times with the happiest people 🏡🌿,” a caption that quickly resonated with her followers.

Life as an IIM student

Navya joined IIM Ahmedabad in 2024 for its blended MBA programme, which includes both on-campus and online learning. Earlier, in an interview, she spoke about the demands of the course and the reality of returning to student life.She admitted the programme has been challenging, especially given IIM Ahmedabad’s rigorous academic environment, but added that the experience has been deeply rewarding. For Navya, the biggest takeaway from her time at IIM has been the people. She has said that learning from her batchmates and building friendships has mattered even more than classroom lessons, making her journey at the institute one to cherish.
