In fact, ‘Dhurandhar’’s collections at this stage are almost double compared to those films. At the start of its sixth week, the film showed a slight dip during weekdays, earning Rs 2.35 crore on Monday and Rs 2.6 crore on Tuesday. However, the festive holiday midweek helped revive momentum. On Wednesday, the overall occupancy across theatres stood at 16.49%. Morning shows recorded 7.63% occupancy, afternoon shows 17.81%, evening shows 18.45%, while night shows peaked at 22.07%. Region-wise, Delhi NCR hosted 719 shows with an occupancy of 9.50%, while Mumbai recorded a stronger performance with 349 shows and 17.25% occupancy. With day 41 earnings touching nearly Rs 3 crore, ‘Dhurandhar’ has also outperformed Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which had earned around ₹1.5 crore on the same day of its theatrical run. The Aditya Dhar directorial has already become the highest-grossing Indian film in India and currently ranks as the fourth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide.Meanwhile, on day 42, Thursday, the film has made Rs 1.95 crore till evening. The total collection now stands at Rs 815.55 crore. The film has surpassed the lifetime collections of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ Rs 1215 crore and ‘RRR’ Rs 1230 crore. However, it is yet to overtake the global box office totals of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ Rs 1742.10 crore and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ Rs 1788.06 crore.Despite competition from newer releases such as Prabhas’ ‘The Raja Saab’, Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’, and Vir Das’ ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’, ‘Dhurandhar’ has remained largely unaffected. The film has continued to pose stiff competition to fresh theatrical releases every week. Attention now shifts to whether Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s upcoming ‘Border 2’, releasing on January 23, can challenge its strong box office run. Also See: Hindi Movies | Telugu Movies | Tamil Latest Movies Go to Source
