Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reminded the nation of a fulfilled resolve, as he spoke in Bihar’s Gayaji on how the Indian forces eliminated terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Speaking at a public event soon after he launched multiple projects, the Prime Minister called Bihar the “land of Chanakya and Chandragupta Maurya” and said all resolutions taken on the soil of Bihar are fulfilled in time.

“Bihar is the land of Chanakya and Chandragupta Maurya. Bihar has stood as the backbone of the country at all times,” he said.

“Every resolve made on this pious land is the strength of the country and doesn’t go in vain,” PM Modi said.

“When the Pahalgam terror attack happened, I had vowed to reduce the terrorists to dust from this land. The world has seen that resolve getting fulfilled,” he added.

“‘Operation Sindoor’ has drawn a new line in India’s security policy. Now, no one who sends terrorists to attack India will be spared,” the Prime Minister said.

IN BIHAR, PM MODI SLAMS RJD

As the Prime Minister spoke during the public event, he also took a swipe at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its allies, and said they treated the people of Bihar like a vote bank.

“For them (the RJD and its allies), the people of Bihar are only a vote bank, they have no concern for the struggles of the poor,” the Prime Minister said.

“You may recall how a Congress chief minister once said from a stage that Biharis would not be allowed to enter their state. Such is the Congress’s hatred towards the people of Bihar,” he added.

“Despite seeing the Congress’s misbehaviour with the people of Bihar, the RJD were in deep sleep.”

“Our effort is to ensure that Bihar’s sons and daughters find employment and live a life of dignity here itself,” PM Modi said.

“Bihar’s rapid development is the NDA government’s big priority, and that is why Bihar is progressing on the path of all-around development today,” PM Narendra Modi said.

“What was the plight here during the ‘lalten (lantern) raj‘? During the ‘lalten raj‘, this region was in the grip of ‘red terror’. Due to the Maoists, it was difficult to travel anywhere after evening. Cities like Gayaji used to be completely dark during the ‘lalten raj‘.”

“There was no electricity in thousands of villages. They compelled several generations to migrate from Bihar,” the Prime Minister added.

PM LAUNCHES MULTIPLE PROJECTS IN BIHAR

In Gayaji, PM Modi launched several projects, including the Rs 6,880-crore Buxar thermal power plant.

The PM also flagged off two trains, the Amrit Bharat Express between Gayaji and Delhi and the Buddhist Circuit train between Vaishali and Koderma. The latter will give a boost to tourism and pilgrimage across key Buddhist sites in the region.

The Buxar thermal power plant will significantly enhance power generation capacity, improve energy security, and meet the growing electricity demand of the region.

Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, along with several Union Ministers, state ministers, MPs and MLAs were also present on the occasion.

The PM also inaugurated the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre at Muzaffarpur.
