‘Parasakthi’ BO day 4: Sivakarthikeyan film sees slow run

'Parasakthi' box office collections day 4: Sivakarthikeyan film sees slow run; Collects Rs 2.40 crore

Sivakarthikeyan’s period drama ‘Parasakthi’ is experiencing a mixed box office run, collecting Rs 28 crore in four days. Despite a strong opening, collections have seen a significant drop, with low occupancy rates reflecting audience sentiment. Mixed reviews citing a lackluster screenplay and emotional distance are impacting word-of-mouth for the film.

‘Parasakthi’ is showing a mixed trend at the box office. On its fourth day the film collected around Rs 2.40 crore India net. The total collection of the film has reached Rs 28 crore as reported by the Sacnilk website. The film opened well on its first day. On Day 1 ‘Parasakthi’ earned Rs 12.5 crore. On Day 2 the collection dropped to Rs 10.10 crore. Day 3 saw a sharp fall, with the film earning only Rs 3 crore. On Day 4 the numbers went down further.

Occupancy numbers stay on the lower side

The occupancy figures also tell the same story. On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Parasakthi recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 19.50%. Morning shows were very weak with just 11.87% occupancy.Afternoon shows showed some improvement and stood at 20.22%. Evening shows were at 19.46%. Night shows were slightly better at 26.46%. Even though night shows are doing better than morning shows the overall footfall remains low.

Mixed reviews affect word of mouth

‘Parasakthi’ is getting mixed reviews from viewers. Some feel the film had strong potential but failed to fully deliver. One social media review said, “The flavour of Parasakthi could’ve been very different had we got Suriya, DQ, Nazriya, and Vijay Verma instead of SK, Atharvaa, Sreeleela, and Ravi Mohan, respectively.” The same review added, “But the film’s biggest undoing is the lacklustre screenplay & dialogues, attributed to a whole bunch of names.” It further said, “A plot like this (dealing with language politics) needs to be emotionally compelling from start to finish..”Another viewer shared a more balanced opinion and wrote, “Parasakthi has all the ingredients of a deeply moving story, and you can feel that potential sitting right there in the material yet a lot of the scenes land with an emotional distance that keeps you from fully sinking into them.”

What lies ahead for ‘Parasakthi’

‘Parasakthi’ is directed by Sudha Kongara. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa, and Rana Daggubati play important roles. The film tries to talk about language politics and struggles of the past.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
