Yuzvendra Chahal denies reunion with Dhanashree in The 50

Yuzvendra Chahal denies reunion with ex-wife Dhanashree Verma in upcoming reality show The 50, calls reports ‘speculative and factually incorrect’

India’s attacking leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has firmly dismissed rumours linking him to a reality television show, calling the reports “speculative and factually incorrect.” The cricketer addressed the chatter after claims surfaced suggesting that he would appear on the upcoming reality show The 50, alongside his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma.Speculation around Chahal’s alleged participation gained momentum on social media, with several reports claiming that the former couple would reunite on the show. Chahal and Dhanashree, who tied the knot in 2020, parted ways four years later, making the rumours a topic of intense discussion among fans.

Chahal issues clarification

Putting an end to the speculation, Chahal issued a clear statement on his Instagram story. “There is no truth to the reports currently circulating about Yuzvendra Chahal’s participation in any reality show. These claims are speculative and incorrect. Yuzvendra is not associated with the show mentioned in recent reports, and there are no discussions or commitments of this nature,” the statement read. It also urged media platforms and social media users to refrain from spreading unverified information.

The 50, touted as a large-scale reality show with a bold new format, is scheduled to premiere on February 1. However, Chahal’s clarification makes it clear that he has no association with the project. On the professional front, Chahal will next be seen in action during the Indian Premier League 2026. He was retained by Punjab Kings after being picked up for a massive Rs 18 crore at the IPL 2025 auction. In 2024, Chahal etched his name in history by becoming the first player to take 200 wickets in the IPL and was also part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad.
