‘May you lose in such a manner…’: Vivek-hater drafts letter after Ramaswamy says he is off social media

'May you lose in such a manner...': Vivek-hater drafts letter after Ramaswamy says he is off social media

Far-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos drafted a hate letter to be sent to Vivek Ramaswamy’s address after the GOP leader announced that he had deleted social media apps from his phone as his 2026 resolution. In the typed letter, Milo pasted his X post where he wrote: ‘In case you’re wondering whether the abuse will continue in your absence, the answer is YES.””May you lose in such a manner that even your Alzheimer’s victims never forget it,” Milo wrote in the otherwise profanity-filled letter. In an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal, Vivek announced his hiatus from social media as he said that sensing the social media pulse is not a politician’s job. The pulse on the ground is completely different from social media as social media feeds are nowadays skewed. For example, he said he came across a lot of racist abuse on social media but when he visited the counties in Ohio for campaigning, nobody told himto go back to India. He said his campaign would monitor and handle his social media and he would not personally check his accounts. While this announcement also came under fire and Ramaswamy got more trolled, he strengthened his campaign as he formally announced the name of Ohio Senate President Rob McColley as his running mate for the 2026 election.

‘I’m not a politician’

The announcement came with a statement from Vivek. “I’m excited to announce Rob McColley as my running mate to be the next lieutenant governor of Ohio,” Vivek said in a statement. “I’m an entrepreneur, not a politician, and selected Rob to be a governing partner who can help advance our ambitious legislative agenda. Rob is a proven conservative leader, and he is committed to my vision to make the American Dream a reality for every Ohioan.”McColley took it from there and said Vivek is exactly what Ohio needs. “Ohio needs a businessman, not a bureaucrat; a creator, not a quitter; a visionary, not a victim. That leader is Vivek Ramaswamy. He will be one of the boldest leaders in the history of our state, and I’m honored to help execute his vision,” McColley said.McColley, 41, was first elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2014 before being appointed to the Senate to fill a vacancy in December 2017.Ramaswamy’s rival Dem candidate Amy Acton announced David Pepper as her pick for lieutenant governor. Pepper was a former chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party from 2015 to 2021.
