Delhi News: Home Minister Ashish Sood Condemns Stone-Pelting, Says Religious Site Completely Safe

Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood has strongly condemned the stone-pelting incident that took place during an encroachment removal drive in the capital, calling it an act instigated by anti-social elements. Speaking exclusively to ABP News, Sood said that certain individuals deliberately provoked local residents and spread misinformation, leading to unrest and violence against the demolition team. The Home Minister emphasized that such actions disrupt law and order and urged peace-loving citizens to help identify those responsible for inciting violence. He noted that innocent people, including children, often get caught in such situations and later face legal consequences, which he termed deeply unfortunate. Clarifying the controversy surrounding the demolition, Sood categorically stated that no religious structure was harmed. He said the action was carried out strictly on the directions of the High Court and was limited to illegal commercial establishments built on encroached land. These included shops, a banquet hall, and a diagnostic center located in front of the mosque. He further revealed that false rumors were deliberately spread about the demolition of a religious place, which escalated tensions. “I take full responsibility in stating that the mosque is completely safe,” Sood said. The Masjid Faiz-e-Ilahi remains intact, and authorities continue to monitor the situation to maintain peace and order in the area.
