BYD India hikes SEALION 7 Premium price by ₹50,000 from January 1

New Delhi: BYD India on Thursday announced a price increase of ₹50,000 for the SEALION 7 Premium variant, effective January 1, 2026. While prices of the SEALION 7 Performance variant remain unchanged.

According to the official statement, following the revision, the ex-showroom price of the SEALION 7 Premium will increase to ₹49.40 lakh from ₹48.90 lakh, while the Performance variant will continue to be priced at ₹54.90 lakh.

The electric vehicle maker said that all bookings made on or before December 31, 2025, will be honoured at the existing ex-showroom prices. From January 1 onwards, all new bookings will be taken at the revised rates.

According to the company, the price adjustment reflects evolving cost dynamics and continued investments in technology, safety and customer experience infrastructure.

“The updated pricing reflects the evolving cost dynamics while continuing to offer customers a compelling premium electric SUV proposition,” said Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India.

BYD said that the SEALION 7 has crossed cumulative sales of over 2,300 units in India since launch, indicating growing demand in the premium electric SUV segment.

The SEALION 7 is built on BYD’s cell-to-body architecture and is powered by the blade battery. Both variants use an 82.56 kWh battery pack and carry a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The Performance variant delivers 390 kW of power and 690 Nm of torque, accelerating from zero to 100 km per hour in 4.5 seconds, while the Premium variant produces 230 kW and 380 Nm, with a claimed zero to 100 km per hour time of 6.7 seconds.
