Titled ‘The Rightside Up,’ the finale is the eighth episode of the fifth season of the series. The first four episodes of the season were dropped on Thanksgiving Day as ‘Volume 1’, while the next three episodes were released on Christmas as ‘Volume 2’.
The second chapter of the fifth season ended with Episode 7, in which Max (Sadie Sink) reveals the antagonist Vecna’s plan to merge the world with a parallel dimension on the other side of the Upside Down, dubbed the Abyss.The counter team makes a plan to enter the Abyss and rescue Vecna’s kidnapped kids and then destroy it with a bomb.
