Samantha reveals she’s entered a new phase in her career

Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals she's entered a new phase in her career, says,'I’m extremely passionate about both fitness and films...'

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has given her best in acting career over 15 years, is now stepping into a refreshing new chapter of her career. In a recent interview, she shared that she has deliberately chosen to slow down her pace and focus only on projects that deeply connect with her. This new phase, she said, is all about wellness, intention, and giving her best with complete dedication.

Choosing work with heart

In a chat with Grazia India, the actress said, “I’ve reached a point where I do things I’m extremely passionate about, and that includes both fitness and films.” She further said that not every film or series she worked on was something she was truly passionate about, but now whether it’s acting, producing, or investing in businesses, she has all her heart.

Balancing work and health

Samantha revealed that she no longer takes on several projects at once, instead choosing to focus on caring for her physical and mental health. “I no longer shoot five films at a time. One thing I’ve realised is that I need to listen to my body, so I’ve reduced the amount of work I do. But now everything I do and put my energy into matters so much more. Nothing is for the heck of it. The quantity may have reduced, but the quality of projects has definitely increased,” the actress added.

Upcoming projects

On the work front, Samantha recently appeared in a cameo role in the Telugu film ‘Subham’. She was last seen in Prime Video’s action-packed series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, where she starred opposite Varun Dhawan in a spy thriller created by Raj and DK.Looking ahead, Samantha will feature in ‘Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom’, another high-energy series directed by Raj and DK. The show, currently in production, also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat, and is expected to release in 2026.
