In a two-day meeting of six Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-linked economic organisations including Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), and Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), held in the presence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Delhi, the focus was firmly on strengthening India’s economic foundations through “sustainable development, self-reliance, fair labour practices, environmental balance, and safeguarding the youth from harmful digital influence”.

The RSS’s economic wings came together for their regular two-day review meeting, with Bhagwat in attendance. Representatives from six organisations discussed pressing economic and social issues, framing their deliberations around the theme of sustainable growth rooted in national priorities, said a source in RSS ranks.

The organisations also lauded the government’s decision to ban the online gaming applications and reiterated their strong opposition to such platforms, arguing that they are addictive, corrosive to young minds, and responsible for financial as well as social harm. The meeting stressed that constructive policies must be devised to shield the youth from such influences while encouraging healthier avenues of creativity and learning.

The source further added that self-reliance and entrepreneurship were highlighted as the cornerstones of India’s future growth. Several organisations called for more robust support systems for small-scale enterprises, start-ups, and self-employed individuals, noting that India’s demographic dividend can only be realised when young people are equipped to create opportunities rather than remain dependent on traditional-conventional employment routes.

The implementation of labour codes formed another major focus in the meeting. While the government has framed new labour reforms, organisations like BMS, the labour wing of the RSS, emphasised the importance of ensuring effective and fair enforcement so that both workers’ rights and industrial growth remain protected.

Participants argued that reforms should balance the need for investment with the imperative of social justice.

Environmental stability has been another issue that was positioned as a non-negotiable pillar of economic planning. The organisations stressed that development must go hand in hand with sustainability, urging policymakers and industries to integrate ecological responsibility into every level of planning and execution.

By the close of the meeting, the six organisations had reaffirmed their role as catalysts for shaping economic thought in line with the Sangh’s vision. With Bhagwat present throughout, the discussions carried significant direction, pointing towards a model of economic development aligned with the RSS ideology.
