Reddit recently saw a viral video getting a lot of chatter among fans featuring Mark “Marcus” from RDC World, which was previously a comedy-centered channel on YouTube. During a Christmas-themed gaming livestream on December 21, 2025, a fan sent a whopping $5,000 donation to RDCGaming. Instead of taking and celebrating the massive contribution, Mark paused the stream and urged the viewer to take the money back, which took many by surprise. In the viral moment that has circulated online, Mark explained that he does not want donations to influence the type of content he puts out. Although he is appreciative of the more than generous contribution, he added that he wants to have full control over what he wants to play online and advised the fan to donate to others in need amidst the holidays.

Why Mark pushed back against a massive donation on stream

RDC World, founded in 2012, built its reputation through comedy sketches on YouTube before expanding into gaming and livestreaming through RDCGaming. When the donation came in, RDCGaming immediately said, “Dispute that dono, bro. Dispute that dono. For real, for real. Five thousand dollars is crazy.”He acknowledged the spirit of the season but doubled down on his stance. “I understand that it is Christmas time. Five thousand dollars is crazy.” Mark explained that large donations can shift the direction and momentum of a stream, especially during RDCGaming’s holiday tradition of playing viewer-suggested games. He expressed his worries about donors feeling entitled to steer decisions of the stream through huge donations. Mark added, “Dispute that dono because I don’t want you try to tell us what to play, and we jus gon’ play that b**ch. Dispute the dono.” Despite discouraging the donation, Mark was incredibly thankful and appreciative of the donation and overall support. He stated “I love your support, I appreciate your support, but look, don’t do that. Dispute the dono and get your money back, bro.” He emphasized that donations should not feel like contracts or brand deals. “It’s our stream, we gotta play what we wanna play…” The clip resonated widely, earning thousands of upvotes on Reddit’s r/LivestreamFail. Mark concluded with an incredibly generous suggestion, asking the viewer to “give that to people in your city who need that for Christmas.” The whole moment was a great act of good will and kind-heartedness from RDCGaming, while also making others aware of the importance of providing for those who aren’t as privileged as him. Also read: “Very difficult year”: Matt Walsh steps away from social media at Christmas after tough 2025 and serious warning for 2026
