Unnao rape case: Delhi HC suspends jail term of Kuldeep Sengar; sets condition for bail

The Delhi high court on Tuesday granted conditional bail to expelled BJP leader Kuldeep Singh Sengar and suspended his jail sentence in the Unnao rape case. A bench of justices Subramonium Prasad and Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar suspended Sengar’s sentence for the duration of the pendency of his appeal challenging his December 2019 conviction and life sentence awarded by a trial court. Delhi lieutenant governor VK Saxena on Tuesday wrote to former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, holding his government responsible for the capital’s deteriorating air quality. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to file a formal complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Indian under-19 players following the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025.
