Amid ongoing talks, the conflict between United States and Iran is escalating further as Washington accelerates preparations for a possible ground operation. According to U.S. media reports, the administration of Donald Trump has activated “Plan B,” which includes deploying around 1,000 सैनिक from the 82nd Airborne Division, in addition to the 4,500 U.S. Marines already stationed in the Middle East. The objective is reportedly to target Iran’s islands and ports and gain control over oil exports. Warships such as USS Tripoli and USS Boxer have also been deployed, alongside fighter jets, drones, missiles, and helicopters. In response, Iran has issued a strong warning, stating that if a ground invasion occurs, it may block the strategically vital Bab el-Mandeb Strait, located between Yemen and Djibouti. With Iran rejecting the 15-point peace proposal, the risk of a wider and prolonged conflict is rapidly increasing.
