A major attack has been reported on a U.S. military base in Sulaymaniyah, where drones and rockets targeted American positions. While no casualties have been confirmed, the incident highlights ongoing strikes by Iran-backed groups on U.S. bases across the Gulf region. Meanwhile, Israel has escalated its offensive in Lebanon against Hezbollah. In a significant development, the Israel Defense Forces carried out a ground raid, capturing a Hezbollah commander alive for the first time since the conflict began. The operation also led to the seizure of large quantities of weapons, including rifles, ammunition, and grenades. This marks a shift from Israel’s earlier strategy of primarily conducting airstrikes to now engaging in ground combat operations in Lebanon. Additionally, Israeli airstrikes targeted areas in southern Lebanon, including the Tyre district, where heavy destruction and smoke were reported. According to Lebanon’s health ministry, at least 22 people have been killed in the past 24 hours, as calls from the United Nations for de-escalation continue.
