War Alert: Pakistan Launches Airstrikes on Kabul Amid Border Escalation

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have intensified following claims of large-scale cross-border attacks and airstrikes. Pakistan reportedly launched airstrikes targeting key locations in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktika, alleging that 133 Taliban fighters were killed and over 200 injured. The strikes reportedly targeted military installations, including the 203 Mansouri Corps and 201 Khalid bin Walid Corps. Earlier, Afghanistan claimed it carried out heavy artillery, tank, and missile attacks on Pakistani military posts along the Durand Line, allegedly destroying around 20 check posts and capturing several soldiers. Kabul has also claimed that 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliatory action and that some were taken captive. Fresh fighting reportedly resumed early morning, with intense shelling and ground assaults continuing along border regions including Khyber, Kunar, Bajaur, Kandahar, and Helmand. While both sides claim heavy losses inflicted on the other, official confirmations remain limited. The situation remains volatile, with continued firing and heightened military alert on both sides.
