Fresh tensions have emerged in the Middle East after multiple drones, reportedly linked to Iran, were spotted flying over Iraqi airspace amid escalating hostilities between Tehran and Washington. Local residents captured videos of the drones, raising concerns that they could be heading toward American military installations in Iraq. In response, U.S. air defence systems have reportedly been placed on high alert to counter any potential threat. The latest developments come after the United States carried out extensive airstrikes on several strategic locations in Iran, allegedly in retaliation for the reported downing of an American AH-64 Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz. According to reports, U.S. forces targeted military infrastructure and key facilities in cities including Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Ahvaz, and other southern regions. American officials have claimed the strikes were intended to weaken Iranian military capabilities following the helicopter incident, although investigations into the crash are still ongoing. The renewed exchange of military actions has heightened fears of a broader regional conflict involving multiple countries across the Middle East.
