Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a significant two-day visit to Israel, marking his first trip to the country in nearly nine years after his landmark 2017 tour. Modi will spend around 30 hours in Jerusalem, where all official engagements are scheduled. He will be received at the airport by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before holding bilateral talks focused on security, defense cooperation, advanced technology, and counter-terror initiatives. A key highlight of the visit will be the Prime Minister’s address to the Knesset, which has been illuminated in the colors of the Indian tricolour to mark the occasion. Several agreements, particularly in defense industrial collaboration and co-development of sensitive technologies, are expected to be discussed. The visit comes at a crucial time for West Asia, with global attention on the evolving regional security landscape. India is expected to reiterate its commitment to peace, stability, and deeper strategic engagement with Israel during this high-profile diplomatic outreach.
